CHURCH OF ROCK SHOOT!!!

 Most awesome news ever! Just got the images finished from the Church of Rock Shoot! 

Super big thanks to Teddy, Craig Weiglein from Mansion Hill Studios, KT, and Holly Angel! 

Many of you may remember this awesome church from Foxy Shazam's "I like it!" video (partially safe for work)

This place has been the scene of some serious ROCKING!  

So Craig and I made sure not to disappoint the Gods of Rock with our shoot!

 To begin with KT was great! She has the best attitude ever!

 Plus, the whole building is a dream for photographers!

Everywhere we turned there was a perfect location to try out something new! 

(F1.4, 50mm, 1/80th of a second, list with two 580exII -one key and one rim)

 For this shoot I exclusively shot with two 580 EXII speedlights on stands and one 19" umbrella.

And this beautiful actress is my cousin, Holly Angel! 

 Holly has all the right moves and brings her sense of style to even the most rundown of settings!

It was hard not to take a great photo of her! 

(F 2.2, 50mm, 30th of a second lit with two 580s)

 This place was absolutely a wonderland!

You might remember KT from our waterfall shoot a few months ago. 

 KY is not only beautiful but brilliant as well. Craig said it best when he said "This is one of the only times I've been on a model shoot where the conversation ended up on Einstein's theory of general relativity." 

 We really had a blast in the Church of Rock!

After a few hours of nonstop rocking... 

 Everyone was getting a little tired (and overcome by allergies)!

Overall, outstanding day with great friends!

Peter and Colleen's Magnificent Wedding!

What a magnificent use of rain on a wedding day! Last Sunday Peter and Colleen had a fabulous wedding at the beautiful Memorial Hall in Downtown Cincinnati Ohio!

The Hall has an amazing theater on the second floor that was the scene of the lovely couple's intimate ceremony!

Colleen and Peter were especially interested in my light painting and other fun creative imagery, so the beautiful Terri and I didn't let them down!

This wedding was an elegant affair full of wonderful colorful people!

And who says rain is no good on a wedding day? When you have as much elegance and design IN your location any weather outside is a bonus!

Later on in the reception the newly weds took over control of the tunes from DJ Vernard Fields. What a great guy! Check him out at his website www.eyescreambar.com

Once Vernard got control back everything was fine though. :)

It was a truly magical evening!

Mitchell's Adventure

There are times when you cross paths with people and think to yourself right there, "I really hope we stay in contact because there aren't many people like you." In this case it's a family. And this is Mitchell.

Mitchell is a really awesome energetic guy. We met Mitchell through his brother Tyler (also an amazing guy), and then met their amazing mother Kym when Terri was teaching at Little Miami! They are an inspiring and wonderful family of genuinely caring and adventurous people. So much fun to be with!

Mitchell, Tyler, Terri, and I had a great time traversing downtown Cincinnati amidst Shriner's parades, giant caravans of cargo trucks, and construction to some of the grandest places for all types of portraits everyone can enjoy: From grandma to your craziest friends!

At Friendship park on the river we found this amazing mirror! (I told Mitchell I wasn't going to pay him just because he was the subject AND the background in the photos!)

I just wanted to say thanks again to Michael and Marica, whose wedding order I finished this weekend!

There's some truly amazing photos in there!

It was a wonderful evening!

090410 Megan and Lou's Wedding!

This beautiful couple are Megan and Lou! Back two weeks ago, the next morning after photographing the beautiful wedding of Tristin and Marcie, Terri and I (with the video help of OJ Santiago) met up with the happy couple for their special day!

One of the most exciting moments was when Lou got to see Megan in her wedding dress for the very first time.

Speechless

Their chosen sanctuary was the beautiful Bellarmine Chapel on Xavier's campus in Cincinnati.

All of the days preceding the wedding weekend had been in the 90s! But this day was in the low 70s, breezy, and perfect!

After the ceremony, OJ, Terri, and I escorted the newly weds around the campus for some quick but stunning portraits on Xavier's fantastically constructed campus! We even got to take some portraits in the coffee shop where they met!

AMAZING!!!

It was a beautiful and magical evening! Thank you Megan and Lou for letting us hang out with you on your special day! (We'll it's more like stalking, but the results are way better :)
