Keith and Rael's Amazing Wedding!

Bear with me here, I had to post more pictures than average to allow me to tell the amazing story of Keith and Rael!
So way back when I took Keith and Rael's engagement photos I knew their special day was going to be something else!
 Sure enough, they didn't disappoint!
Keith and his brothers were hilarious!

In fact, all the groomsmen were awesome!
Rael was BEAUTIFUL!
One great way to deal with the heat and the stress is to drive around in the back of a pickup truck and yell at prom kids (which we did).
The theme of this beautiful event was Rainy London, even though it didn't rain at all the style was perfect!
Keith and Rael sent me over a bunch of styles they really wanted me to capture for their day and I was excited to see that the processing of the images really mattered to them!
I even used Nik software's Snapseed App right on the Ipad AT THE WEDDING to show them some of the awesome images we had created together!
Yep, whipped out the ol' Ipad uploaded the coolest  images, processed them right there and handed it over to the newly weds to see at the reception!
And took a deserved break for a cold one.
The speeches were jaw dropping. I can't repeat them, but they were truly noteworthy!

Just when the dancing is winding down and the party is mellowing at most weddings...
This amazing team kicked it up 14 notches and made the proverbial plunge in to a literal fact and jumped  into lake Lindsay!
Once the socks were wrung out it was on to an all night dance-a-thon!

Seriously, Keith and Rael, you guys are the greatest! Thank you for letting Eric Cameron and I be there! Sure a truck almost crushed all my stuff and it was hot as heck, but we all lived, the photos are stunning, you two are married and we all have AMAZING stories to tell about the day!
You really made it unique!

Final Camera Night Butterfly Images 2012!

Well if you missed it, I'm sure there'll be more next year! But the final Photographer night at Krohn Conservatory's Butterfly show was last monday!

It was a fun time to get up close and personal with the bugs and fellow photographers!

After trying every lens I have I have to say that my macro was the best for photographing the little winged wonders!

Part of the fun was to challenge myself to take different images each monday!

I can't say I was 100% original each time, but I sure tried!

Don't pass up the opportunity to go to the Butterfly show!
It ends at the end of June!
Maybe I'll see you there!

Photo Mentor Group #1 (Advanced Lighting Workshop)

 Wow! What an event!
Jaskon Lykins and I escorted the lovely Dawn, toting lenses and strobes all over beautiful Alms Park in Cincinnati to put on our Advanced Strobe Lighting Workshop.
We tested out hundreds of ideas and processing flows, though we did lean toward dark and creepy at the end.
This workshop is geared towards people who know all about portrait lighting but wants to take it to the next level with gels, shadows, 3 - 4 - or  5 point portable speedlight lighting, and practical combinations!

Everything from sun as a second light...
To adding an extra element to your surroundings!
No light here, I just love this photo :)
(see this large)
Raw single dramatic light!

Individual results may vary, but it sure is easier when you know how to create the images in your mind!
The end of the night got pretty crazy with full on gels.

Look for future postings for the Photo Mentor Group Workshops!

Check out a Similar Shoot with our Model Kyle!

LAST Butterfly Show Photographer Night Monday! 5/21

Here's some images from Photographer's night at Krohn 051412 :)

Don't miss the final opportunity to come in and photograph without the elbowing crowd!

This year's theme has been On Wings of Harmony!

It's really a blast! Great networking, photography, weather (it's always warm in Krohn!), and fun!

And Macros!
