The Sweet 16 Food Fight

This is Hope halfway through the party...
Hope's sweet 16 party had one sweet food fight!
Complete with an obstacle course!
 It was gross..
We have Hope's wonderful mother Andrea for this treat!

 Amazing!

  So messy!
Happy Birthday Hope!

Sarah and Sean preview!

I have been caught up lately in the coolest stuff imaginable! I just finished shooting Sean and Sarah's wedding yesterday and I can't resist sharing some of the amazing images we created together!
One thing they were sure of was a shot where Cthulu was invading. I really like this. This is the Riverside Marriott who's staff was amazing in letting us photograph here during the level 1 snow emergency!
And the final preview was our Vanity Fair group shot. This was totally Sarah's concept!
Now Imma sleep!

Congratulations!!
More greatness to come!

I got a Blue Laser!

So my nerd meter has gone off the charts.
I now can provide you one of those sweet portraits from the 90s!
Plus.... it can set stuff on fire!!!!

Check out the full video on instagram!

Oh yea, it's all Star Trek up in here.
see
But wait there's more... the laser has caps and it makes all kinds of cool backgrounds!
And with a fog machine (Thanks Curtis Johnson) you can slice through the clouds to see a cross section!

Or be a robot!

And we have a green laser too.

One interesting note, red gemstones only glow red.

And because you really only care that it can burn stuff...
Here's a bunch of post-it notes in parallel.
Super cool!

So much fun!

Misc Stuff

(The lovely Kat)
So along the way through the holiday season I took some cool photos that aren't full blog posts... here are a few awesome ones!
 Hey color!
And this awesome portrait of these ladies at Krohn!
 And this rose!
And this is coming...

And Now for Something Completely Different: Devlynn DeSade

This lovely young lady is Devlynn DeSade.
Ms DeSade is a local entrepreneur in the art of seduction I had the luck of running into! Crazy times!
So when we met, given the interesting nature of her business, I naturally had lots of questions!
When Ms. DeSade answered them all in a very business focused and courteous manor I was impressed!
I guess that's kinda par for the course given her line of work, but one thing lead to another and I think she invited me to see her home and I offered to photograph her! Viola! Here we are! Blog post 1044.
One thing I really like about a photo shoot is a challenge. I have to say, during this photo shoot I was pretty challenged. Believe it or not in a bondage den there's a lot of things you don't run into every day. Figuring the right light for them was interesting and the whole shoot was really just crazy cool!!
Even Ms. DeSade's kitty was nice.
In fact, I have to say the whole experience was top notch. Ms. DeSade was wonderfully gracious and her place, while slightly frightening, was really beautiful.
You can see more of Devlynn here:

Big THANK YOU for the opportunity to photograph such interesting people in such a cool place, Ms. DeSade!

Sometimes I find myself waking up in the mornings thinking... "That actually happened!"

IPhone Photo Update

Hello friends! The past few weeks I have been doing a lot of corporate work that I am unable to share. :( So in the mean time I thought I would share another post about phone photos.
Every so often I purge all the images off my phone and find some that are pretty cool.
The cameras on phones have been getting better...
but there's 100 times a day when I think, I could take that shot, but the camera is so limited I can't make it look good.
Other things like the bottom of a coffee machine, above, are just fine with a hit of instagram filters...
Or the ubiquitous driver's seat portrait with a little Nik's Snapseed software.

To be fair to the phones, there are times when you can't get to quality gear.
For those "smunching" moments, or...
Playing a game of marbles, this will do just fine.

Haha! Didn't turn it off, airlines!
 The Infamous Horse Mask Photo
I waited a whole meeting to take this photo watching the light trace the wall.
Turducken!
???

Be creative!
See you next week!
