061710 Julia's Senior Shoot (BisB)

The highly anticipated portraits of Julia are finished!

In addition to being an amazing person, and beautiful, Julia is also a singer songwriter.

I met Julia and her wonderful mother over the phone a week ago and got the details worked out. Then it was nothing but smiles and fun!

Beautiful model and beautiful locations... I couldn't go wrong!

Thank you again Julia and Margot! You really turned my day around!!

061410 More Scouting (French Park)

The other day my beautiful wife, Terri, and I went hunting for something new and ended up at French Park just outside Cincinnati.

Scouting out your locations for future shoots is crucial to both speed and quality.

I also picked up some Chantilly lace from the fabric store when we purchased the cloth for the waterfall shoot. As fer as the lace... I didn't know it existed outside the song until now. And it's expensive!

Neat for certain looks though!

Three years to the day I married Terri, a girl who I liked a lot from the start, loved two weeks later, married 8 months after that, and realized again last week is really my best friend (no offense Mr. Rekers).

This year we upgraded Terri's wedding band!

060710 Scouting with Terri

So any time I'm not shooting a photo, planning a photo, sleeping, or eating sushi I'm looking for locations.

Here's a bunch of fun stuff that happened along the way...

One time we saw ducklings waddling through an apartment complex.

(despite the processing, these ducks are real)
Soon from the other direction mom and dad duck come along and start "yell-quacking" at the ducklings and they all waddle off.

Hilarious!

061010 Scouting with Mr Rekers

Going anywhere with Mr Rekers is a mysterious pleasure. Who knows what will happen.
This time while scouting an upcoming shoot I unleashed Mr R into the wild.

Dangerously skipping across logs fallen over waterfalls isn't on the top ten of my things to do, nor is wading through spiders. Neither of which phased Mr Rekers.

Heroic pictures aside, sometimes it was like this...

I tried and failed to make it across BOTH logs across the waterway. (Clearly I wasn't wearing the best footwear for the occasion.)

This may be cool as a desktop background!
Enjoy!

060210 Sharon Woods With Javier and Kari (GPIK)

It is a rare occasion for my beautiful wife and I to find people who are as excited about opportunities in fun and photography as we are. Luckily we ran into a couple of just such caliber at a wedding recently. Coincidentally, we have been hanging out a lot.

Kari and Terri have been friends since high school, which made the whole situation WAY cooler!

Enter Osvaldo Javier Santiago... Javier is an EXTREMELY talented automotive photographer and print specialist. Now, I can't stress this enough...

This is some of Javier's UNREAL work. The only way anyone could look cooler with one of these cars is with a photo like this.

Javier brought his Alien Bee lights out for a "play around" shoot at Sharon Woods with us recently. We had a great time being goofy with long exposures as well as getting some really nice images.

A little camera manipulation can turn day into night!

Here's one Mr. Santiago took of my wonderful wife and I.
Thank you for being friends Kari and Jav, you are truly great people. :)

060510 Misc

So in the spirit of being totally slammed with wedding shoots this weekend I have decided to dump the rest of the images I have collected from other shoots over the past couple of months, but wasn't able to post at the time.

And some flowers!
