TWIG + CHUBBY = STUMP

Last weekend I had a truly unique experience!!

Some really great friends of mine came together to rock out in a grand way!

Two giants of bands joined forces to form a yet unheard of supergroup...

On the one side you had Chubby laying down the likes of Steely Dan to Dire Straights...

On the other, the rock enigma that is Twig!

Blasting everything from the Beatles to originals off their latest release Light up the Sky!

And then... the two squshed into an 8+ man wall of sound they called STUMP.

It was intense!

If that wasn't enough the lovely Greta poses with the magnificent caricatures that have become a staple for Twig's amazing parties

032611 TWIG CD Release Party!

It's finally out! The debut release for Cincinnati quartet TWIG is on the shelves!

Light Up the Sky

To mark the occasion the band held an exclusive cd release party for some of their biggest supporters. I was happy to be invited as their photographer!

(Every stage is cooler with lasers and fog!)

Let me just say that when drummer Dave picks out a house it has to have several specifications. All of which have to do with rocking. This stage is in his basement.

Half of the brothers Maley, Mike thumps out some smooth baselines.

The band even had a local caricaturist whose name I'll have to post later, but he was great!

The CD art is pretty awesomely designed by local artist David Estep from Liquid Lines. It features some sweet images form recent shows from me as well! Check it out! TWIG has a rocking sound with early rock homage! Great stuff!

The big story this week was the concert local Cincinnati rock band TWIG played at the Village Tavern in Montgomery to promote their new album Light Up the Sky!

I'm not usually a fan of the bar scene, but the environment at the Village Tavern was cozy and perfect. Twig laid it down with crowd favorites and originals alike while the crowd sang along and really had a great time.

This week I finally managed to leave the house long enough to catch Cincinnati rock and roll band Twig at the Village Tavern in Montgomery. The whole bar was rockin out to a wide variety of musical taste, from the Talking heads to Billy Joel with originals mixed in as well.

Last weekend amid home inspections I was lucky enough to cover a local event on fountain square...

for a fantastic organization called Invisible Kids!

Judge Winkler and Miss Ohio Buckeye Teen were there!

Invisible Kids is an organization that is focused on:

Providing education, support, and encouragement to the insiders: caseworkers, foster parents, CASAs/GALs, biological parents, and other frontline professionals.

Engaging, educating, and empowering the general public to shift the system status quo.

Providing education and information to lawmakers and judicial leaders regarding best practices related to bonding and attachment so they can make laws and decisions in accordance with this scientifically supported fact.
