Cinemagr.am and the Future!

HELLO!
I am totally in love with this new app called Cinemagr.am!!! My good friend Eric Cameron and I were talking about a comment our friend Lou Freeman said at the PPN convention recently. "The future of photography is motion." That really struck a chord in us, so Eric got to work creating a PhotoMentorGroup video that will be posted later on our Fanpage! Then he found Cinemagr.am!
 I'm no stranger to gifs I have been making them for years, but they were always really hard to set up and the processing took forever. Plus the file sizes and loading speeds were ridiculous! Cinemagr.am has fixed all that! 
 This app is a simple couple of clicks and swipes and it has some not-yet-cliche filters to apply to the gif!
The dog was obviously thrilled. You can even use videos you've previously shot on your phone which means 
One downside is the file size, pretty dinky. And gifs by nature are pretty low quality. Also the results are jittery if you can't hold perfectly still! 
However that didn't stop me from from pulling off some attempts with our amazing couple Abby and Nick yesterday!!!!
Even with all the faults creating these magical images is just flat out a great idea! I can't wait to get more of my clients involved!

022010 Life Cycle of a Rose

Well it took me forever, but I finished. About two weeks ago I asked the facebook community what to shoot at since everything was covered in snow. Here's one of the results. I took a photo of this flower every 8 hours for two weeks. As it turns out, cold weather really slows down a flower's death... who knew?

Every so often Andy and I like to get together and gently explain to the latest outdated technology why we are frustrated with their lack luster performance or to simply tell them that we think it's time for a "breakup." This Christmas Eve morning was one of those times.

This weekend Trevor took Terri and I shooting Big Guns!

I did ok shooting up my zombi target.



No one shoots the face off a zombie like Trevor (he was shooting a 45).

Then we went back to my house for awesome and ping pong!

Kris' lovely Erica accompanied as well!

And good ol' face shooter too. If the world is overrun by the undead, I know who I'll turn to.

090409 Seiberts, Great People I Know!


This weekend my wife and I visited "the Seiberts."
In Georgetown, Kentucky.
This is Andy trying his best to look awesome in front of his new truck.

And Jamie, being angelic.

These are two of their horses.

They are also avid bowlers and great people.



You may think that this portrait alone would qualify Seiberts of all types into the category "Great," but that is only the tip of the iceberg. You've seen him before here.



And this in no way leads me to the next part of this post that exploits a long history of... well.... breakin stuff.
