072010 Crime Scene with Nic Alessandrini

After working with model Nic Alessandrini at David Ziser's Master class I knew he'd be fun to work with again.

Aside being easy on the eyes, Mr. A has a lot of great ideas for cool stuff (like the crime scene lead image of this post).

This was a tough shoot, too. The moment I left for the shoot it started raining hard.

It started pouring about the time we all convened at the location in downtown Cincinnati, so Nic and I sat in my car and Terri high lighted notes for her master's classes in her car until the rain subsided.

(This is the 50s crime novel cover version of the image.)
Finally, we couldn't find anyone to be the dead body. Naturally I volunteered! But who will take the photo? Tripod? NO! The amazing Terri will! So this whole project is really Nic and Team Viltrakis!

Let me say this, laying in the gutter in downtown isn't the most fun. Laying there in huge puddles of water, cigarettes, and who knows what else rocks, though.

070910 Eric and Sarah's Wedding!

Back on July 9th our good friends Erik (Erk Power) and the lovely Lady Crabtree were wed.

It was a marvelous time!

Beautiful settings,

Wonderful friends and family,

And Eric.

The Wedding was in the beautiful 20th Century Theatre in Oakley.
(Beautiful, but DARK!)

A really fantastic setting for a couple as fun loving as Eric and Sarah.

A high arching bouquet toss from the balcony momentarily frozen in time!

Interesting lighting, yes, but a dark theatre.

(What photographers do for fun.)
Let us not forget, SUPER ROB!

072210 Rainy Thursday with Emily

I have been wanting to take a model to the Fort Ancient Antique shop for some time.
Luckily the beautiful Ms. Emily was available and willing...

It rained, sprinkled really, the whole way there. And then in a brief 30 min of 99% humidity at 93 degrees we jumped out at the place and shot away.

It was so humid I had to warm the lenses up on my body to prevent them from fogging up.

We had a wonderful time.
But the photos look good and that's what counts!

I even saw her at Eric and Sarah's wedding!

072410 Weston!

Mr. Weston is turning 1.

And now he's mobile!

and one thing he loves more than anything...

is Monkey.

We love you very much guys!

072410 Megan and Keith

These beautiful people are Megan and Keith.

He is an amazingly accomplished guitarist and singer.
Most notably in the early rockabilly genre.

And Megan, of course, is our dear old friend. :)

Terri and I have been really busy, but not too busy to hang out with a wonderful couple.

070310 Regan and Josh's Wedding

July 3rd held the wedding of my good friends Josh and Regan.

Regan is a wonderfully kind and thoughtful person.
I respect her quite a bit.
Not to mention she is stunning.

and she also knows how to pose.

This handsome fellow is Josh, a rocking drummer and soul mate for Regan.

The wedding was beautiful and flawless as a result of Regan's mother's keen eye for detail.

Dramatic, go! I love these guys!

They were both beaming the whole time Terri and I shared with them.

Mr. Love and his daughter.

For the send-off hundreds of sparklers lined the exit of the reception hall and off ran Josh and Regan to a Disneyland honeymoon!

It was a magical evening!
